Permissions
macOS: grant these in System Settings → Privacy & Security:
- Accessibility
- Input Monitoring
- Automation (Apple Events)
Grant them to the installed app in Applications. Tip: hold Option and click Start to open the helper.
Linux: for full automation, an Xorg session works best (some Wayland sessions limit global hotkeys).
Troubleshooting
- Esc doesn’t stop on macOS: confirm the app has Accessibility, Input Monitoring, and Automation permissions.
- Windows stop hotkey not working: use Ctrl + Alt + S. Close other apps with global keyboard hooks, or run as Administrator.
- Nothing types on Linux: switch to an Xorg session and ensure common Qt/X11 libs are installed.
- Edge isn’t used: the app prefers Edge when present, otherwise your default browser opens.
- Address-bar fallback: if the app types in the address bar, ensure Bing is the default search engine in your browser.
